On 30 November and 1 December Aste Bolaffi will present in Turin an exceptional collection of British Milled Gold Sovereigns, which is one of the most important collections appearing on the market in recent years both for its high quality and number of pieces.
It was created over more than 30 years with the objective to compile a comprehensive collection of all of the Gold Sovereigns minted since 1817.  Even though it has not reached completion, you can still see some of the rarest examples of all minted coins.  
All of the coins were selected for their high level of conservation, an aspect which adds additional prestige to this collection that offers an extensive overview of the evolution that has characterized that which is the most important and well-known coin in the world.
This collection includes 2 proof Sovereign 1839 (lots 1180-1181, starting price € 7.500) and the Sovereign 1916 mint Ottawa (lotto 1332, starting price € 8 thousand).
The Coins, Banknotes and Medals auction will also presents several examples of Italian and foreign coins and banknotes from antiquity to the modern period, including the House of Savoy rarities, as well as an interesting selection of medals.
