PICASSO AND MONDINO PROTAGONIST OF TWENTIETH CENTURY ART AUCTION


The beautiful ceramics by Pablo Picasso were the protagonists of the first auction of the wentieth century arts, sold out and a total amount of 252,800 euros. Among the Picasso's artworks made in the Madoura Vallauris factory, the terracotta plaque "Tête de femme à la Couronne de fleurs", selected for the cover of the auction catalog, and sold fot 23,750 euro.
But the top lot of the auction comes from the section of paintings, drawings and multiples the: the painting "Sol y Sombra. Legs of bullfighters in the arena" of the Piedmont painter Aldo Mondino, sold for 27,500 Euros. Much appreciated in this chapter were also the Russian landscapes, such as canvas "City of Piskov" by Konstantin Ivanovich Gorbatov sold for 22,500 Euros.
Among the posters the "Mele Confezioni per Signora"" by Marcello Dudovich (13,750 euro) and "Perugina Cup" by Federico Seneca (12,500) are the top lots; between the photographs were awarded the Italian artists like Luigi Ghirri with the landscape of "Ca de Caroli" (6,250 €).
