due giorni della settimana, nella prima ci
sono indicazione per commissioni
da svolgersi un venerdì con, al verso,
una nota autografa a matita firmata “S”.
Mentre nella seconda il regista chiede di
essere accompagnato dal celebre scrittore
John le Carré: “Emilio. Can you take me
to 9 Gainsborough Gardens, Hampstead.
Be there at 10.30 a.m.” e, poco più sotto,
chiede anche una stampa di Shining.
Two handwritten notes on yellow paper for
two days of the week, in the first there are
indications for tasks to be performed on a
Friday with, on the reverse, an autograph in
pencil signed “S”. While in the second the
director asks to be driven to the famous
writer John le Carré: “Emilio.
Can you take me to 9 Gainsborough
Gardens, Hampstead. Be there at 10.30 a.m.”
and, a little further down, he also asks for a
print of the Shining.

Lungo frammento della pellicola originale del film The Shining contenente la scena nella quale Wendy, impersonata da Shelley Alexis
Duvall, porta in braccio Danny, rappresentato dal piccolo Danny Lloyd. Questi frammenti, dati da Kubrick a D’Alessandro,
sono particolarmente rari in quanto il regista notoriamente faceva bruciare tutte le parti di pellicola avanzate alla conclusione
del montaggio finale dei film.
Long cuts of the original film The Shining containing the scene in which Wendy, played by Shelley Alexis Duvall, carries Danny, played by
little Danny Lloyd. These cuts, given by Kubrick to D’Alessandro, are particularly rare because the director notoriously burned all the film
leftovers at the conclusion of the editing.
